I was disappointed with the world.

I'd hoped for more

or less;

enough is embarrassing.

I'd expected to find the existence of love hypocritical,

but I'd never imagined there would be men.

What are they for?

And what are emotions for,

and moons? I'd hoped for more moons, perfect moons.

I was disappointed with perfection.

It's so smug,

demanding too much of an only chance.

I'd have said it was only its inverse

if I'd known then.

I was told there would be people, perfect or otherwise

but I've never met any.

I'd thought I'd be assured a priori.
I hadn't hoped for food. That's a perk.

And I hadn't hope for an afterlife;

I'm disappointed nonetheless.

We went to see them recently. They weren't there, but we waited. When they arrived we weren't angry and we drank coffee. We talked of da Vinci. Later we parted and they were sorry to see us leave but we weren't because we had gotten tired of their conversation and had wanted to leave long, long before. We have not seen them since. Neither of us. But we hear they have children. Occasionally we consider going back there, when we have exhausted conversation between ourselves. But we fear that they will not be there, that we will have to wait once more, there outside their door where the streets are rough and the wind blows cold off the ocean. Such an empty ocean. No we will not see them again, the costs are too high. It is not that we dislike them. In fact we wish them well. We wish that they and their children are well.

Our eight-year-old son could do anything dada did.

Tristan Tzara, founder of dada, was ugly

And a paedophile.

Surrealism was better than dada.

Dada is a failed palindrome.

We are anti-dada.

It doesn't make sense.
